Responsibilities
  • Monitor student teachers' progress in fieldwork, coursework, and professional responsibilities
  • Instruct in ED301 (Directed Elementary Field Experiences in Diverse Schools) and ED304 (Student Teaching in the Elementary School)
  • Instruct in ED301 (Directed Elementary Field Experiences in Diverse Schools) and ED304 (Student Teaching in the Elementary School)
  • Plan and implement quarterly orientations for student teachers, mentor teachers, and supervisors.
  • Place candidates in two student teaching experiences throughout Orange County elementary schools
  • Observe student teachers in elementary school classrooms and provide feedback based on Teacher Performance Expectations
  • Build partnerships and communicate with school site administrators, mentor teachers, and school district personnel
  • Assist in coordination of Multiple Subject Performance Assessment for California Teachers (PACT) Teaching Event
  • Supervise Multiple Subject supervisors
  • Participate in School of Education recruitment and outreach events
  • Serve as faculty advisor for Teachers for Tomorrow club
  • Serve as the faculty liaison for School of Education theme house residents
  • Coordinate professional development event for alumni and school partners

  • M.A. in Multilingual and Multicultural Education from CSUN
  • B.A. in Liberal Studies from CSUN
  • BCLAD in Spanish
