Get Tech Help

There are three main ways to get Tech Help. We encourage you to get tech help in any way that works best for you.

1.) Call the Tech Help Hotline at (949) 824-5537.

If we do not answer immediately, leave your name and how to reach you on our voicemail. Our goal is to respond to every Hotline call in 5 minutes or less during our normal business hours.

2.) Email us at gse-tech-help@uci.edu.

A copy of your note is sent to every Tech Staffer as well as our supervisor, Rock Hunter. It remains in our mailboxes until someone responds to your request.

3.) Find, call, or email a Tech Services individual directly.

You are welcome to stop by our Technical Services Center in Education 2043, open during our normal business hours. You are also welcome to find, call or email any Tech Services individual directly. Individual Tech information is in our Tech Directory.

  • Network Connectivity (Hardwire only. Wireless is through OIT)
  • Management of Server Files and Shared Folders
  • Staff and Faculty Email Lists (listservs)
  • Assistance in Analyzing Equipment and Software for Purchases
  • Inventory of all Department of Education Equipment
  • Equipment Checkout in our Checkout Pool
  • Installation, Configuration and Changing of Email Clients
