
Biography
Jenny Woo is a Ph.D. student specializing in Human Development in Context (HDiC). She received her Master's in Mind, Brain, and Education from Harvard University where she conducted program evaluations at The Center on the Developing Child. Following graduation, she continued her role at Harvard's Teaching and Learning Lab as a facilitator for How People Learn, a foundational course for all Master's of Education students. Jenny also has an MBA from UC Berkeley where she worked as a Career Coach and Graduate School Instructor in Leadership Communications.
Jenny dedicates her career to understanding the facets of human development. She has worked as a Human Capital consultant at Deloitte, an Executive Coach at Cisco Systems, a Director at a language immersion Montessori, and a fitness trainer at 24 Hour Fitness. Passionate about bridging research and practice, she developed 52 Essential Conversations and 52 Essential Relationships, K-16 social-emotional learning games used by teachers, parents, and psychologists in 40+ countries. Her games have been featured by The Harvard Gazette and won the 2018 Parents' Choice Awards. As a TEDx speaker, Jenny enjoys giving talks at schools and workplaces on topics related to emotional intelligence, entrepreneurship, and parenting.
As a doctoral student, she conducts experimental studies related to the development of executive functions and social-emotional skills in tweens, teens, and young adults.
During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and interviewing educators and researchers for her podcast on iTunes called "52 Essential Conversations to Prepare Children for Life."
