On June 6, Professor Gilberto Conchas, Director of Community Engagement and Student Success, welcomed members of the School of Education's Dean's Advisory Board to the first meeting hosted by Dean Richard Arum.
Dean Arum used the opportunity to preview the School's new 5-year Strategic Plan and solicit member input. Associate Professors Rossella Santagata and Elizabeth van Es provided additional detail about the community engagement initiative, which will includes a Center for Longitudinal Data Analysis, an Instructional Improvement Academy, and opportunities for up to six school partnerships promoting research to practice.
Dean Arum closed the breakfast meeting by inviting members to attend the upcoming School of Education programs planned for the 2017-2018 school year at the UCI Student Center and open to the public.
