Doctoral Student Jaeyoon Choi and Associate Professor Nia Nixon received the Best Short Paper Award at the 2026 International Conference on Learning Analytics and Knowledge (LAK 2026). Their award-winning paper, Read the Room or Lead the Room: Understanding Socio-Cognitive Dynamics in Human-AI Teaming, examines how AI teammates influence group interactions and collaborative problem-solving.
