School of Education Faculty and Doctoral Student Receive Best Short Paper Award

Doctoral Student Jaeyoon Choi and Associate Professor Nia Nixon received the Best Short Paper Award at the 2026 International Conference on Learning Analytics and Knowledge (LAK 2026). Their award-winning paper, Read the Room or Lead the Room: Understanding Socio-Cognitive Dynamics in Human-AI Teaming, examines how AI teammates influence group interactions and collaborative problem-solving.

The recognition highlights the impact of their research at the intersection of learning sciences, collaboration, and artificial intelligence. Congratulations to Jaeyoon and Nia on this outstanding achievement.
