Undergraduate Educators Recognized at Annual Celebration of Teaching Ceremony

This year, the UC Irvine Division of Teaching Excellence & Innovation honored two School of Education undergraduate educators at its annual Celebration of Teaching awards ceremony.

CalTeach Master Coordinator Kristine Houston received the Dean's Honoree for Teaching Excellence award. Director of Undergraduate Education Programs Janice Hansen was recognized with an Honorable Mention in the Lecturer of the Year category.

The UCI Celebration of Teaching recognizes the faculty, instructors, and teaching assistants who have demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching at UC Irvine. Nominated by peers, students, and staff, award winners exemplify exceptional teaching across six award categories. Founded in 1992, to date more than 300 professors, lecturers, and TAs have been recognized by their colleagues and students for exemplary teaching.​
