Two UCI School of Education Students Elected to SRCD Leadership Roles

Congratulations to Alysia Cruz and Lina Carpenter (Ph.D., 2024) on being elected to the Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD) Student and Early Career Council (SECC) for 2025!

Cruz will serve on the Membership Committee and Carpenter on the Teaching Committee. SECC representatives serve a four-year term and play a vital role in shaping SRCD’s initiatives, representing student and early career voices across key areas of research, equity, and education.

Their election highlights the School of Education’s continued leadership in child development and education research at the national level.
