The 2026 Edu-Scholar Public Influence Rankings are out, recognizing the top 200 education scholars nationwide whose research is shaping public dialogue, policy, and practice. Released annually by Frederick M. Hess of the American Enterprise Institute, the rankings highlight scholars whose work resonates both within academia and far beyond it.
This year, the University of California, Irvine is proud to have two School of Education faculty members among the nation’s top 200. Greg Duncan, Distinguished Professor, ranked No. 45, and Richard Arum, professor, ranked No. 90. |
Both scholars moved up in the rankings from last year, reflecting their growing national influence and continued leadership in connecting rigorous research with real-world education policy and practice. Their recognition underscores the School of Education’s expanding role in shaping evidence-based conversations about the future of education.
