Our online Master of Education Sciences with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence & Learning Analytics will begin accepting applications October 1, 2025.

Deadlines:
Will accept applications beginning on October 1, 2025 and will be reviewed on a rolling basis

​We welcome applicants from diverse academic and professional backgrounds who are passionate about the future of AI and learning analytics.

Admissions Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with minimum 3.0 GPA 
• Unofficial transcript(s) from all post-secondary institutions 
• Three letters of recommendation
  • E.g.,from a former instructor, research mentor, professional supervisor, or colleague familiar with your academic/technical abilities.

UC Irvine graduate application fee.

You may upload any of the following:

• Technical Portfolio: dashboards, AI models, scripts, or tools
• Code Repositories: GitHub, Colab or similar
• Research Papers/ Writing Samples: especially in education, AI, or data
• Video Introduction: a 1–2 minute personal statement about your interest in the field

GRE Scores may be submitted, but are not required

​Step 1: Complete the Online Application

• Personal History Statement: background and experiences related to your application
• Statement of Purpose: highlighting your goals and interest in AI and Learning Analytics  and this master’s program. 
• Unofficial transcripts

Step 2: Submit Required Documents

• Three letters of recommendation (submitted online)
• English language documentation (if applicable)​
  • TOEFL or IELTS scores are required for students who have not earned an undergraduate or master's degree from an institution at which English was the sole language of instruction, according to the World Higher Education Database.

Please allow 4–6 weeks for processing. Admission decisions will be communicated via email.
