
Biography
Renzhe Yu is a doctoral student specializing in Language, Literacy, and Technology (LLT). Before coming to UCI, he obtained his bachelor degrees in artificial intelligence and economics, and master's degree in economics of education, all from Peking University, China.
Informed by the prior interdisciplinary training, his research interests lie at the intersection of technology and education. Specifically, he aims to apply advanced computational methods to model and decipher student learning processes from the rich data available in various digital learning environments, and seeks to improve instructional design based on such empirical evidence. He is also interested in the impact of modern technology on the education sector from a social and institutional perspective.
