Now in its fourth year, the summit brings together more than 800 educators, students, and community leaders from across North America to explore how artificial intelligence can support deeper learning, creativity, and equity in schools. The event will take place at the Anaheim Hilton, with pre-summit school visits on March 19 followed by two full days of interactive sessions, student panels, and hands-on workshops.
Unlike most ed-tech conferences, the AI Summit centers authentic student voice and real classroom practice. Attendees will engage with the H.A.N.D.S. framework — Human readiness & vision, Authentic community partnership, Next-generation student voice, Deeper learning & ethics, and Skill development for the 21st Century — through workshops, district case studies, and collaborative sessions led by educators and students alike.
The UCI Orange County Educational Advancement Network (OCEAN) and the Design & Partnership (DAP) Lab (founded by UCI Associate Professor June Ahn) are key organizing partners. Together, they are advancing UCI’s role in community-engaged AI research and helping to bring more than 50 UCI and community collaborators to this year’s event.
“This summit has become one of the nation’s most influential convenings on AI and education,” said Ahn. “It’s about creating spaces where educators, students, and communities learn together — not just about the technology, but about how to shape it for good.”
