UC Irvine School of Education Ranked Among Nation’s Top 20 by U.S. News & World Report

The UC Irvine School of Education has once again been recognized as one of the top graduate schools in education in the nation, ranking No. 18 overall and No. 10 among public schools of education, according to the 2025 U.S. News & World Report rankings.
The UCI School of Education stood out across multiple key performance indicators:
Research expenditures accounted for 50% of this year’s ranking, reaffirming UC Irvine School of Education’s role as a leader in advancing educational policy and practice through research.

- $926K per-faculty member in research expenditures – 8th highest among the top 20 ranked schools
- 33% of faculty earned major national awards or served as editors of leading academic journals – ranking 5th among top 20 schools
- 11.5% doctoral acceptance rate – indicating strong selectivity and demand
- 2.9 graduate degrees awarded per faculty member – showcasing strong faculty productivity and student success
