Educational leaders dive into AI opportunities and challenges at the AI K12 Deeper Learning Summit
Irvine, Calif. February 22, 2024 – A groundbreaking national educational summit, co-hosted by the UC Irvine School of Education, focused on AI and K-12 education is taking place March 1 & 2 at the Westin Hotel in Anaheim. The School of Education featured presenters for the AI K12 Deeper Learning Summit include professors June Ahn, Kylie Peppler and Mark Warschauer, and Ph.D. student Daniel Ritchie.
More than 650 educators, policymakers and organizational leaders from three countries and 31 states will participate – including representatives from 102 school districts, 14 colleges and universities, 11 county offices of education, nine foundations, and over 50 education nonprofits and businesses – showcasing a wide-ranging commitment to deepening AI learning. |
The summit is aimed at empowering educational leaders with cutting-edge insights and strategies for smartly and safely integrating AI into K-12 education. The event will explore both the tremendous opportunities for AI to improve teaching and learning in schools and the potential risks and challenges of AI in our schools. The summit will feature interactive workshops, expert presentations, and robust discussions on AI's role in enhancing student engagement and learning.
