School of Education alum elected to South Orange County Community College District Board of Trustees

Ryan Dack MAT+Credential ’18 will represent residents of Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Woods, Aliso Viejo and Portola Hills for his two-year term.

​University of California, Irvine School of Education alumnus Ryan Dack (MAT+Credential ’18) was recently sworn in to the board of trustees for the South Orange County Community College District. 

With his appointment, Dack will represent area 6 in the college district, with residents in parts of Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Woods, Aliso Viejo and Portola Hills during his two-year term through 2024. As a trustee, Dack and the board of trustees will “oversee all academic programs and educational services by establishing policies to assure the quality, integrity and effectiveness of the student learning programs and services, and the financial stability of Saddleback College, Irvine Valley College, and the Advanced Technology & Education Park.”

Ryan Dack
Dack, who is originally from San Clemente, has been teaching history for both the Irvine and Laguna Beach Unified School Districts since 2018. He has also contributed to Laguna Beach Unified's Distance Learner Intervention Program at Thurston Middle School as a lead educator.
