Assistant Teaching Professor Shane Goodrige awarded $40K for new UC Online course
The new course “American Education Policy and the History that Shaped It” will be offered through UC Online five times over five years.

January 11, 2023 University of California, Online (UC Online) will be adding a new course named “American Education Policy and the History that Shaped It.” The UC Online Leadership Team has awarded University of California, Irvine School of Education Assistant Teaching Professor Shane Goodridge $40,000 to develop and teach the course. The newly formed class will cover the movements that shaped education policy in the United States and abroad to establish the education system’s current form. As a UC Online course, any student within the UC system will be able to enroll in the class and satisfy degree requirements through online learning. |
The award will go towards infrastructure and equipment, course production and project personnel for the course. It will be offered cross-campus five times over five years, excluding summer offerings.
