Education professors in Top 200 for 2023 Edu-Scholar Public Influence Rankings

Richard Arum, Drew Bailey and Greg Duncan listed among top scholars, according to Education Week’s Rick Hess Straight Up
January 5, 2023

Three UCI School of Education professors have ranked in the top 200 in the nation, according to the 2023 Rick Hess Straight Up (RHSU) Edu-Scholar Public Influence Rankings. These School of Education scholars include Professor Richard Arum (No. 71), Associate Professor and Undergraduate Program faculty director Drew Bailey (No. 161), and Distinguished Professor Greg Duncan (No. 41).

The annual ranking is released by American Enterprise Institute director of education policy studies and Education Week blogger Frederick M. Hess. It spotlights university-based education scholars who move ideas from academic journals into the national conversation. The RHSU Edu-Scholar Public Influence Rankings include the top finishers from last year, augmented by "at-large" additions named by a selection committee of 28 accomplished scholars from universities across the nation.
