University Honors Dean Deborah Lowe Vandell at "Stepping Down" Event
Dean Vandell was honored by university administrators, colleagues, and community members for her 10-years of service as Chair and Dean. Effective July 1, Professor Vandell will be returning to the faculty. During her sabbatical leave, she will be focusing on her early childhood and afterschool research. Read more.
Professor Mark Warschauer Appointed Interim Dean of School of Education
Professor and former Associate Dean Mark Warschauer has been named Interim Dean of the UC Irvine School of Education, effective July 1, 2015. Professor Warschauer joined the then-Department of Education in 2001. He has served as Director of the Ph.D. in Education program and of the Digital Learning Lab. Read more.
