
Biography
Cecilia received her Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education from California State University of Long Beach. She also earned a Master of Science Degree in Communication Disorders, from the University of Redlands.
Since acquiring her graduate degree, she has developed her career as a Speech and Language Pathologist in different educational settings ranging from early intervention clinics through middle school intervention settings. In addition, she has taken up a role as clinical supervisor for graduate students working on their speech and language pathology clinical hours at California State University, Los Angeles, where she has also taught undergraduate courses for the department of Communication Disorders.
Her primary research interests pertain to diversity and equity across educational settings, especially in relation to multi-lingual individuals with disabilities, first generation college students and students with undocumented migratory statuses.
