Biography
Daniel Ritchie is a doctoral student in the Teaching, Learning, and Educational improvement track with a specialization in Digital Learning and Media. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at the University of California, Davis, where he began his research career by investigating the potential of video games to promote the teaching of programming.
At UCI he works with the Digital Learning Lab on the Converse to Learn project. He is interested in researching ways how technology and education can complement and improve each other. This includes the design and development of effective digital learning environments, the use of data improve learning experiences, and the improvement of teaching practices surrounding computational thinking and programming.
