Biography
Jasmin Hernandez Santacruz is a Ph.D. student in the School of Education at UC Irvine. She received her B.A./B.S. from UC San Diego in Linguistics and Psychology with a specialization in Cognitive Science. Her general research interest is in bilingualism and her current research focuses on the underlying cognitive mechanisms involved in language switching. Through her research, Jasmin hopes to bridge the gap between research and community and contribute to the growing field of language science to reveal more of the benefits associated with bilingualism. In her free time, Jasmin enjoys checking out local cafes and driving down to San Diego and Tijuana to visit her family.
