
Biography
Michelle is generally interested in how educational and social welfare policies can interrupt structural inequalities to improve the lives of historically marginalized populations.
Michelle received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Michigan and her Master’s in Public Administration from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service. Before starting her Ph.D., she worked as a middle school teacher and program coordinator at an international refugee aid organization.
When she is not reading or conducting research, you can find her walking her dog, Hank, or training for her first triathlon.
