Biography
A California native, Kimberly graduated cum laude from UC San Diego with a B.A. in Fabric Design as a wearable Art Form and then earned her California teaching credential at UC Irvine.
She has spent the past 16 years teaching at the Waldorf School of Orange County, first as a remedial teacher and then as a class teacher, taking her cohort from 1st grade through 8th. The experience of following the same group of students over the course of eight years led her to apply to UCI’s Ph.D. in Education program.
Kimberly’s research interests include developing executive function skills through the arts, cognitive diversity and improving the learning experience for all students.
