Biography
Mariya Vodyanyk is a Ph.D. student in the School of Education specializing in Human Development in Context (HDiC). Mariya graduated from University of Wisconsin, Madison with a B.S. in Neurobiology and a certificate in Art Studio, with an emphasis in painting. She currently studies the intersections of cognitive psychology, neurobiology and the process of visual art-making.
Mariya has worked with different community groups to bring accessible art education and is interested in teaching others how they can use such tools to aid healthy development and aging. She believes that the key to wellbeing is addressing social determinants of health such as access to education and community engagement.
