Biography
Pablo Bezem is a Postdoctoral Scholar in the School of Education at UCI. His research focuses on interactions between accountability, decision-making, and effective education policy implementation. He applies mixed methods, including experimental, quasi-experimental, and qualitative designs. At UCI, his current work focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of cross-enrollment in expanding access to university STEM education for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Dr. Bezem has over a decade of experience conducting education research in the U.S. and internationally, working closely with schools, communities, and policymakers. His professional experience spans the public and private sectors, including the Argentine Ministry of Economics, Gallup, and teaching for the UNESCO International Institute for Educational Planning. In addition, he served as a project coordinator for six years at CIPPEC, an influential research institute in Latin America. He earned a Ph.D. in Education Policy at Michigan State University, where he was a Fulbright fellow.
