Biography
Rebecca Goldstone is project manager for the SRSD+ (Self-Regulated Strategy Development Plus) Study at the University of California, Irvine working under primary investigator, Dr. Young-Suk Kim. The purpose of the study is to develop and implement a multi-component reading and writing intervention for children in grades one and two.
Rebecca completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Education with a teaching emphasis in reading. She completed her Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership at Chapman University.
Before coming to UCI, Rebecca taught university level leadership, communication and management courses as an adjunct professor. As a consultant she provided numerous trainings for academic institutions, non-profit organizations, and corporations.
Her background includes ten years extensive education experience within economically, linguistically and racially diverse populations through her work in Santa Ana and with the Orange County Department of Education. Her international experience includes living in Moscow, Russia, as a member of the International School Project. At the invitation of the Department of Education of the Russian Federation, Rebecca developed curriculum and conducted teacher professional development convocations throughout the former Soviet Union.
