Wendy Ochoa Receives 2018 Associated Doctoral Students in Education Service Award

6/11/2018

Associated Doctoral Students in Education (ADSE) was founded in 2012 as a way to coordinate communication among students, staff, and faculty. For the past few years, ADSE has honored a student for outstanding service to the School and to his/her fellow students. The service award is designed to recognize a student whose work often goes unnoticed. "A lot happens within these walls every day, and much of this work takes place behind the scenes. This award goes to someone who has selflessly given to the School."

The ADSE service award for 2018 is given to Wendy Ochoa.

Wendy helped organize grad recruitment, which went off exceptionally well. Wendy worked tirelessly on facilitating the event and attending the event to make sure that potential students had a great experience. Additionally, Wendy led professional development for undergrads and grads on poster presentation. She also works with undergraduate Research Assistants mentoring them towards post-collegiate success on their path to graduate school.
