Dr. Yasemin Copur-Gencturk, Research Assistant Professor at USC Rossier School of Education, is invited presenter at the May 10th meeting of the Center for Research on Teacher Development and Professional Practice.

Abstract In this presentation, Dr. Yasemin Copur-Gencturk will share her research on professional development as well as the findings from her recent study on the role of several key features of professional development in bringing about changes in teachers’ mathematical knowledge for teaching. The presentation builds on her recent work on professional development and teacher learning and includes a discussion of new areas for the future research. About the Center: The Education Center for Research on Teacher Development and Professional Practice in the School of Education at the University of California, Irvine fosters collaborations among faculty, students, and practitioners on projects focused on a variety of aspects of teacher development and learning and on the study of teaching and teacher professional practice.
