Adriana Villavicencio to speak about Research Alliance for NYC Schools at Teacher Learning Group Meeting

Assistant Professor Adrianna Villavicencio will share her experience at the Research Alliance for New York City Schools during the Thursday, January 16 Teacher Learning Group meeting, 12:00 to 1:00 pm, in Education room 3216.

Villavicencio will provide an overview of the Research Alliance as a Research Practice Partnership (RPP) with the New York City Department of Education and highlight lessons from two large-scale evaluations focused on college readiness and computer science education. 

The Teacher Learning Group encourages collaborations among faculty, students, and practitioners on projects focused on a variety of aspects of teacher development and learning and on the study of teaching and teacher professional practice. Current foci include the study of teacher noticing and career-long learning; of sustainability of teacher professional development; of equitable practices in mathematics, science, and engineering; of teacher identity development; and of students' engagement in STEM learning. ​
