Collins’s scholarly interests include reading & writing development, bilingualism and biliteracy, digital literacy, academic language, and engagement in literacy. Her research examines the development of literacy skills among linguistically diverse students from kindergarten through high school, for typically-achieving students and those with reading disabilities. Her work includes the use of in-class and out-of-school interventions, as well as digital tools to support students in reading and writing.
Ho is NIH-sponsored postdoctoral scholar in the School of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at San Diego State University. Her research focuses on the language and literacy development of children from linguistically diverse backgrounds. She earned her Ph.D. in Education specialized in Language, Literacy, and Technology.
