Member of the T.E.A.C.H. Academy Advisory Committee held their fall 2018 meeting in UCI's School of Education on Wednesday, October 24.
The T.E.A.C.H. Academy at Century High School, Santa Ana Unified School District, is a "school within a school program for sophomores, juniors and seniors who are interested in careers in teaching. The mission of the program is to develop a strong foundation for college bound students who are interested in becoming educators and role models in their community" (https://www.sausd.us/domain/525). Members of the Advisory Committee represent Century High School, Santa Ana College, Orange Coast College, Concordia University, CSU Fullerton, UCI, National University, Chapman University, Madison Elementary, Project Tomorrow, Bishop Manor, Think Together, Cedar-Evergreen, Discovery Cube, and Kidworks, Inc. During the fall meeting, members shared updates from their sites and discussed career technical education curriculum, paid internships, and scheduled field trips. The Advisory Committee will hold its winter 2019 meeting at CSU Fullerton on February 27th. Concordia University will host the spring 2019 meeting. Comments are closed.
