Assistant Professor Di Xu has been invited to join the newly launched Center for Higher Education Research and Policy Analysis housed under Midwestern Higher Education Compact. The mission of the Center is dedicated to informing institutional and state efforts in improving postsecondary policies, practices, and outcomes in four areas: (a) College Readiness; (b) Affordability and Finance; (c) Educational Quality; and (d) Performance, Value, and Accountability. Member activities include writing briefs/reports to inform state or institutional policy and practice, responding to policy inquiries from state legislators and institutional leaders, contributing to working group projects that provide contextualized policy guidance, and participating in webinars and meetings, depending upon availability.
Xu's research interests include higher education policy, program evaluation, community college research, and online learning. As a senior researcher at the Center, Xu will be focusing on online learning in the educational quality category and labor market returns in performance, value, and accountability.
