Four seniors majoring in Education Sciences and one alumna discussed their study abroad experiences at the SoE-sponsored information session on April 9th. During the session, the presenters shared personal perspectives on reasons for studying abroad, experiences meeting and interacting with students from other countries, and best memories of their time in foreign countries.
Presenters included the following graduating seniors:
Alumna Dana Lapsley, currently employed at UCI's Study Abroad Center, shared how her experiences enrolled in 2015 at the International Summer School, University of Sussex are influencing her career choices. (Dana graduated from UCI in 2017 with dual majors in Education Sciences and Psychology & Social Behavior.) The information session was coordinated by Associate Professor of Education Rossella Santagata with support from PhD students Melissa Dahlin, Ta-yang (Diane) Hsieh, Yannan Gao, Vicky Chen, and Chris Wegemer. Information about studying in another country for a quarter, semester, summer, or year is available from the UCI Study Abroad Center. Destinations include countries in North, Central, and South America; the Caribbean; Africa; Europe; Asia; and the Middle East. Comments are closed.
